#Every time I see this scene #it breaks just utterly shatters my heart #he’s still so in love with her #he was made FOR her #BECAUSE of her #to SAVE her #and now she’s gone into a parallel world with a man who is him but not and it hurts so bad #the one adventure he can never have but oh-so-desperately wants #You know he wishes that he were in TenToo’s place sometimes - that he was the one with only one heart and a lifetime of Rose Tyler in front of him #but he’s not #he has to live on to take care of the universe because of the goddamn curse of the time lords #He’s the last and it all falls to him even if he wishes it wouldn’t #and now this young pink and yellow Rose Tyler in front of him with her adorable grin and playful antics warms his heart #but she doesn’t know him #she still has a Really Great Year coming to her #but not him #this Doctor is done#He’s going to die and another man is going to go sauntering off in his place #and that’s the last panel #that’s him seeing the love of his life (and his past one) walking away #he sighs and watches her disappear from view (and from his life - forever) #and his face is just heartbreaking
